Barney joined the firm in October 1983 and became a shareholder in 1992. He concentrates on individual and small business taxation and has experience in financial statement preparation, estate planning, management consulting and computer implementation.

Barney is a native of Alamosa, Colorado, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude from Adams State College with a double major in Accounting and Business Administration.

His outside interests include golf, baseball umpiring, fishing, fly tying and woodworking. He lives in South Burlington with his wife and two sons.
